Organized by the Turkish Environmental Education Foundation (TÜRÇEV) and the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, the On the Road to COP31: Earth Skills 101 Youth Camp will be held on September 16–18, 2026, at Ata Farm (BAKAP) in Gölbaşı, Ankara.
Throughout the camp, young people will explore:
- environmental and climate issues from different perspectives,
- environmental journalism and methods for accessing reliable information,
- active citizenship and youth participation,
- behavior change and sustainable living,
- biodiversity,
- green entrepreneurship and solution development approaches
through hands-on work, workshops, and collaborative learning processes.
Designed based on the Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) Program approach, the camp aims to empower young people not only as those who notice environmental problems but as active individuals who access reliable information, develop a solution perspective, and can convey what they learn to society through various communication tools.
And we're doing this on the road to COP31!
Rather than just talking about COP31, the camp will open space for young people to connect local environmental issues with the global climate agenda, produce their own voice in climate and environment, and strengthen their social participation.
